Rebecca Whitney Klein
ACTOR CREATOR SINGER
Hi! I'm Rebecca (she/her).
about me, and my art:
I'm a Brooklyn-based actor, creator, and singer from the Boston area. You can usually find me talking/thinking/writing about queerness, neurodiversity, and consent.
My passion is in new works and collaborative, experimental processes. I discovered this while studying Theatre Performance at James Madison University, where I embraced the spirit of the B.A. and collaborated on new works in roles including actor, director, dramaturg, and member of a devising ensemble.

It was also during my time at JMU that I found a love of performing on-camera, through working on various indie film projects and industrials with local Harrisonburg, VA filmmakers.
Since graduating and moving to NYC, I have continued to seek out new works while performing off-Broadway with Royal Family Productions, co-creating a devised musical with the nonprofit theatre company Waterwell, and assisting director Gus Heagerty on a critically acclaimed production of Agnes Borinsky's
Brief Chronicle Books 6-8.

I'm drawn to creative projects that are community-based and directly in pursuit of progressive social change. I am particularly interested in telling queer stories, and stories by and about women.
